hey there!
Lindsey Roylance

So this week definitely was crazy. Didn't start out too exciting until we had the mission tour in which Elder Perkins of the Seventy came and talked to us. We learned about making good, better, and best choices. that God blesses us good, better, and best by the effort we make. Also this is kind of a duh! point but to receive answers and guidance from your Heavenly Father you have to ask questions! It was so cool! Elder Perkins had us write to questions at the beginning and by the end, everything that was taught either by the Speaker or the Spirit and Revelation would answer those questions. It totally did. So, now in going into meetings like that and General conference (comin up!) start out with two questions or so and see what we can learn!

I also learned about hard work and dedicating your self to the work. They asked "have you paid the price to be guided by the Spirit?" Well, me and Sister Martin took that question and self reflected and we set some goals this week and we have definitely seen the fruits of our labors! We made a goal to be zealously obedient in following all mission rules, to increase personal study efforts, and to sit at the table while having both personal study and comp study. We have worked a lot harder this week and boy have we been blessed!

yesterday, we were walking to an appt at the college and we ran into a girl named Saffron who was raised atheist but is now open to an idea that there is something else. We gave her a BOM and taught her how the Book of Mormon can help her through her hard times and give her guidance and that was exciting. We will call her tomorrow! On the way back, we ran into a lady named Elizabeth who asked "Do I know you?" hmmm... did we look familiar from the preexistance maybe? haha but anyways, she has bible study and we taught her about the Book of Mormon and how it testifies of Jesus Christ and the importance of it and she asked the Golden question. "What store can I get one of those at?" We were more than happy to supply her with one. We were so darn excited!

Then to end the night we went over to Sister Cousineau's an elderly lady who fed us pie. She ended up giving us the whole darn pie and the apple crisp. Ha we gave the pie to the Elders and kept the Crisp confidential. But boy it's a good thing we exercise in the mornings or I would be in trouble. My goal is to come back recognizable. Fingers crossed!

So we also got fed by the Taplins this week. They are recent converts and so nice. They fed us homemade chili in bread bowls and Brother Taplin made me a green bay packer scarf! I was so excited. I feel like I'm finally initiated!

Well, this week was full of experience. We tracted in rain and wind. Received plenty of rejection but could feel the Lord's blessing throughout it all!

Love ya'll

Also, everyone read Your Wonderful Journey Home by Uchtdorf. It talks about God's plan and how we chose to follow him, and how he just wants us to return to him. It's amazing and my new favorite talk. Love ya'll!

Hey Er' body
Lindsey Roylance to you

So, this past week in Wisconsin has been great! First I met President and sister cutler and they are such nice people and cook really delicious food. Then the next day, we got split up into companionships and guess who I saw??? Stephanie Harris!!! My Best friend in the mission!!! So that was so exciting! She is actually training my last companion Sister Morales! Wisconsin is so beautiful and has so many trees. Intersections are weird but eh. There are fields with red barns that you only see in pictures and I just can't get over the beauty.
the first night I came, I got fed by a member family, the Thompsons, and they are so proactive about member missionary work.A cool thing we are doing in our stake is actually teachign member families how to teach new member discussions. this way, the ward can gain friendships and connections to those new members who need to feel that love and support. so cool! There are a lot of Less actives which makes me reflect on my ignorance of this while at home. So everyone, look out for those less actives and fellowship them and make them feel loved so that they might want to come back to church!
On Saturday, I gave my first baptismal invitation. This family has had missionaries for four years and I reinvited them to be baptized. The wife has faith and believes this is true as well as the son. They are Armenian and have strong family unity. She told me her husband needs to make that choice then she will follow. So now her husband just needs to come to more lessons! Another blessing, we saw her baby's first steps while teaching the restoration. So cool and he is adorable. It is so hard to not be able to hold children and babies out here. Especially with how much I did at home!
Friday at the Art in the Park festival, we street contacted and the coolest thing was that some people will actually pray with you right in the street. Thought it was weird when sister Martin suggested that but it works and it is like the coolest thing. Last night we went tracting and yes there were two great rejections that I laugh about, and three awesome people who just need to hear the gospel, accept and be baptized! Hopefully when we return they would like to take lessons.
So there is a definite difference in here and in Utah. The distance in this branch covers like 30 minutes of driving. Crazy when i think of two church buildings on the same street. That just means that a lot of people need to hear our message!
So my companion Sister Martin is beautiful and super nice. She is very spiritual and we do great work together. I love working with her and studying as well.
So quick! Everyone needs to write me a letter so I can get a library card= more emailing time cuz I am really cut short! .... plus I would love to hear from ya.
