Hey everyone. This week we attended a Catholic funeral inside the Catholic church this week. Quite a different experience. Once in a lifetime! It was for our investigator Joyce's father. We weren't sure about going but to support her and a good finding opportunity hey what the heck! After the funeral, we attended the luncheon (still inside the church) Sister Pearson scored and gave a Book of Mormon to Joyce's friend there. Unique experience. :)
We had an interesting experience with an investigator (no longer). We met Jan last week tracting and this week we went back for our appt. She along with her husband had arguements prepared on paper with scriptures to show that we need no Book of Mormon and that prophecy has stopped long ago. Their scriptures actually helped prove our side, not that they saw that. It was cool though because this week I studied Mormon 9 and is a great arguement back... Unfortunately that isn't Christ-like and so we did not prove anything. Just invited them to read and pray. Strengthened my testimony though!Wednesday, January 29, 2014
January 27!!
Lindsey Roylance to you
Working with Bryan this week we focused on helping him gain a testimony and having spiritual experiences. Members are amazing contribution. We had amazing support from them as they pretty much taught it all through their testimonies. Amazing! He is coming along. We can see his sincerity and he is working on obtaining his own testimony. :)
At church, amazing miracle we had 6 non members in Gospel Principles. some investigators. some not. It's great to see the members invite!!
Have a great week!

Happy January!
Lindsey Roylance to you
This week we had zone training and practiced an awesome tracting approach. Cool suggestion from Pres Cutler to say, "We are here to share a message about Jesus Chist. It's really cold tonight, may we come in and share a lesson with your family?" Genius!
Anyway, we had to drive to wausau for the training 30 minutes away. Most people would say we were dumb to drive in the blizzard but we are teenagers and we have a mission to do. hehe. We drove 40 mph there and 25 mph on the way back on the freeway. We missed the 20 car pileup though. Yikes! After that our appts cancelled cuz the members wouldn't drive in the weather. Silly. But good thing cuz we tried to go out and had no traction and fishtailed it the whole way and we turned and went back home. SAFE!!!
Bryan, is doing awesome still. His date is moved from Saturday because we had to take a step back. He loves learning, reading the BOM (in Alma 10 now), and coming to church. Quite socially converted as well. But he really needs to build his testimony of these things and it was amazing the focus on testimony and then that's what their priesthood lesson was on yesterday. He had questions and the Members were so awesome to make sure his questions were answered. Plus, he watched Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration and told us it's in his top favorites!
Barb, is still amazing and has a strong desire to come to church but things keep getting in the way! She couldn't come yesterday because she just got done milkin cows. Man this lady is like 50 and needs to slow down!
MIRACLE. I had my first successful referral obtaining lesson yesterday from members. Members have people they are working on but yesterday a member family gave us three referrals of close friends and neighbors. Our goal was to focus on referrals and definitely a prayer answered!

Hey ya'll!
Lindsey Roylance to you
Second, I ate pickled herring. I wouldn't recommend it.
This week we taught Barb for the second time. It's been hard to get in with her but we finally did and it was amazing. The plan of Salvation was made just for her (jk!) and she accepted a baptismal date. Interestingly enough, her sister Carol who we met on Christmas was in the hospital here so we decided to visit her. Then sunday, we went back and gave her a blessing. That experience was so powerful and she had such great faith. We could all feel the Spirit so strongly!
This week, Bryan is still progressing well. He will be baptized in two weeks and he is getting excited. We taught the Law of Chastity and truly the member made that lesson. She was an amazing asset and strengthened my testimony of the importance of members. Best moment though was the closing prayer by Bryan who said he was excited to become a member of the church and to bless all of those who did not have the gospel. I couldn't stop smiling thru his whole prayer!
It's been a great week full of miracles. Miracles happen as we have our eyes open to them and are dilligent! Hope you all have a great week!
Hope your week has been super awesome. This week has been full of many miracles and interesting experiences.
First, shovel tracting. Not so effective with cracked shovels. Monday, January 6, 2014
Happy New Year!
Lindsey Roylance to you
We were tracting in some inside apartments a few days ago. Taught the restoration and invited her to be baptized, then she tells us she might have been baptized a member when she was 15. We might have found a long lost member!
Bryan, our investigator, is doing great. He came to church again yesterday and stayed all three hours! He is in jacob and coolest thing. In sunday school, there was discussion about the Lord's mysterious ways and Bryan pops up with a scripture he read (Jacob 4:8) and shares it to help the discussion. I love it!
Hope ya'll had a great new years and made some awesome resolutions!
Love ya!
So, first off it is so cold here! -17 degrees with wind chill= -50. Our poor car didnt' want to start but with determination and faith, it finally went on the 3rd try. Common problem here is the cold kills the cars. Schools are closed. We aren't allowed to tract. At what point to eyeballs freeze?
This week we had exchanges with some sisters in West Bend. This time i got to stay here and drive the car. First time in 4 months, felt pretty good!
